| NEON STUDIO MEMBERSHIP
|
Non-instructional use of the neon studio and equipment, when classes are not in session and studio personnel are present. Approximately fifty hours of access per week. Studio membership fees are not prorated; late enrollees are required to pay full fee. Materials are not included, pumping will have limits and conditions applied. Prerequisite: Crafts Center Beginning Neon Class. 9 weeks. Neon Studio.

| BEGINNING NEON
|
This course will introduce neon design and fabrication. Instruction will cover tube bending, pattern making, history, tube processing and installation. Students will learn all the necessary skills to complete a project in neon. Class will meet once a week for lecture and demonstration and students will sign up in class for an additional tutorial session. Tutorial sessions are paced with the lecture portion and focus on the hands-on learning of tube bending. In addition to the lecture and lab, open studio time is available during the week. Some materials provided, tools, text and materials available for purchase. 9 weeks, Crafts Center Room 102.

| NEON INDEPENDENT STUDIES
|
This class will concentrate on the development of student projects that require specific considerations and problem solving. Emphasis will be on the individual development of neon and light sculpture, while working on design, feasibility, aesthetics and fabrication. Prerequisite: 2 quarters of Beginning Neon. 9 weeks, Neon Studio.
